Another Look Before Fall Arrives

You can almost feel it in the air...feel what you say? I can feel a tad bit of "FALL"...can you? Here at Coastal Charm Interiors, Fall will arrive right after Labor Day. Oh yes...all the pumpkins, gourds and Fall leaves will be showing up soon, and I can't wait. As much as I love summer here on the coast, I also love when it's time for some cooler temps. Today, I am sharing some pics before the big change comes. So, let's see what you can find this week.
                                                     Blessings,

Back To School With My Oldest

Yes...this week was BACK TO SCHOOL for all of us here on the Alabama gulf coast. My oldest daughter went back to school for the first time as a teacher. Since she got hired just eleven days before, meet the teacher day, this family was super duper busy getting her room ready. Now, to make it even better, we were also helping our other daughter get her first year classroom ready too. It was a lot of hard work, but I wouldn't have had any other way. Mr.CC and I would do anything for our girls, no matter how old they are. Here, I am sharing Haley's first grade classroom. I am so very proud of how she got it all put together so fast, and it's soooo darn CUTE! These students are so very lucky to have such an awesome teacher. Congrats Haley! I know you will have one great year.
                                                          Blessings,
                                                             Linda

Her students are HUNGRY TO LEARN!

                                                 Very cheerful!

Lovin' how the window is looking.

                                              The reading nook.

I covered some tables with fabric, so she could
                                              store supplies under them.

Fun chevron fabric on the bulletin boards.

Bookcases that Mr.CC reworked, and
Haley and I painted.

Back To School With My Youngest

Yippee...it's finally BACK TO SCHOOL this week!!! Funny thing is...I don't have any children in school anymore, but I do have two daughters who are teaching for the first time. So, you ask, why is she so excited? It's because Mr.CC and I put in twelve to fourteen hours a day, for eleven days straight, helping our daughters with their classrooms. Now, back when my girls were attending elementary school, classrooms didn't look like this, but they do now!!! My mother retired from teaching twenty three years ago, she was a kindergarten teacher for twenty five years. So, when she came by and saw what we were putting together here, she was blown away. I am so very proud of both of my girls, and today I am going to share my  baby girls kindergarten room. Please be sure to come back later this week, so you don't miss out on seeing my oldest girls first grade class...it's super cute too!
                                                Blessings,
                                                  Linda

Her dad helped her make this
                                   darling awning while I was
                                   painting furniture at the other
classroom. I think they did one
                                   awesome job...don't you?

                                         A full view!!

The reading loft is all ready
for the little ones! I'm lovin'
                                   the "READ" letters that she
                                                 made.

She made that cute little doll for a
project in college. Oh yes...that's my
                                                        girl!!!!!

She used a lot of pennants
                                          and birdies...LUV!!!

Here are the curtains that I made for her. Had my
sewing machine right there in the classroom.

I really loved the fabric that she used,
and can you see how we hung them?
I didn't get the best pic...oh well! Those
are clothespins that we glued a crayon
onto...so NIFTY THRIFTY (that's so me).

I also made this skirting for a computer
                               table...perfect fabric for a kindergarten
                                                    class.

You will also find a lot of chevron in the room.

The theme for the kindergarten hall is the ocean...here we
got it ready for the students to add some really cool coastal
artwork. Now you know this family had to put some driftwood
                                            and seashells up.

I saved my favorite wall for last. I was super excited how
this wall came together. She is adding a pic of the student
to the clothespins, then they will be displaying their "One
                                             Of A Kind Clip Art".
